Event Info

Paddle Second Chance’s 2017 event will feature an Elite 5.0, Open 2.5 mile and Sprint 1.0 mile long SUP and Kayak race course. Whether this is your first race or you are a seasoned paddler, this is a great chance to come together for a wonderful cause and have a fun time on land and water. The race takes place at Holts Landing State Park in Millville, DE on the beautiful Indian River Bay. This venue is ideal for SUP and Kayak racing as the water depth is shallow (less than 4 feet) and is spectator friendly so make sure you bring your family and friends! The race will feature the following divisions and board classes.

  • Elite 5.0 mile course- 14′ SUP Men
  • Elite 5.0 mile course-12’6″ SUP Men
  • Elite 5.0 mile course-  SUP All Women
  • Elite Kayak Male
  • Elite Kayak Female
  • Open 2.5 mile course- Women and Men
  • Open Kayak Women and Men
  • Sprint SUP 1.0 mile Women and Men
  • Sprint Kayak 1.0 mile

Prizes will be awarded to the top finisher in each division and board class. Award categories may change based on number of paddlers on race day.

June 24, 2017  at Holt’s Landing State Park on Indian River Bay in Millville, DE

A Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD) is required in order to participate in the Paddle Second Chance race. Participants 13 and over must have a PFD on board.

A SUP Board leash is required for paddler safety.
